LPC Intern Counseling Services

Breath of Hope offers affordable low cost therapy provided by Counseling Interns who are in their final stages of graduate schooling to become Licensed Professional Counselors.  Kimberlee Daughtry LPC Supervisor,  personally supervises all Interns who are able to meet with you at a much reduced fee.  Interns are gaining experience in the field and are enthusiastic about helping you with your situation.  Just mention that you are interested in seeing an intern and we will discuss the arrangements.  Your counseling experience will be satisfying and beneficial.  Ms. Daughtry works closely with each student counselor to be certain your concerns are addressed effectively.  This service will not only give you the opportunity to get counseling at a low cost therapy rate, but will give you even greater help by having two counselors that will have input into your situation.

Meet Our Intern:

Liz Keator, MA, LPC-Intern, LCDC,  K-12 School Counselor

(806)535-6639

Liz graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a Master of Science in Counseling in 2014.
She learned to integrate Christian principles (for clients who request to pursue a faith-based recovery) through the counselor education she received with LCU. She places much value on the term “perspective,” as she believes that with perspective comes healing and the ability to renew opinions, behaviors, and perceptions.
Previously, Liz fulfilled a hospice counselor practicum experience, and then worked as a Counselor with The Ranch at Dove Tree (residential treatment center for addiction) for two years. This opportunity allowed Liz to gain much knowledge in treating clients with alcohol and/or drug addiction and co-occurring disorders such as eating disorders.
Liz has experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, self-harm, grief, behavioral issues, trauma and PTSD, substance abuse, addiction recovery, codependency, Adult Children of Alcoholics, coping skills, pre-marital counseling, marital conflict, parenting, and family conflict.  She feels extremely passionate about working with and helping others.
Liz is currently an LCDC and LPC-Intern with Breath of Hope Professional Counseling and the Student Support Center in a San Antonio High School under the supervision of Kimberlee Daughtry, LPC-S. She looks so forward to meeting and working with you.
